RE: poem about the lack of honesty

Sweet deceit comes calling,
Or so the lyrics say.
Its words a song,
Of honesty’s absence.

Deceit, so sweet?
Or is that a lie?
Without the truth,
What meaning to ascribe?

Calling: a siren,
Beseeching immorality.
Not sweet,
Deceit:
The world hungers.
